Are you ready to explore the wonders of Callao Cave? Have an enjoyable adventure at this magnificent cave in Peñablanca, Cagayan Valley, Philippines. Before I go ahead, let's listen to beautiful Ms. ELyssa...
Callao Cave* is a limestone cave having seven (7) chambers and formations such as the Column, Chapel, Skeleton, Elephant’s Head, Praying Angel, Rocket, Lion’s Head and Dog’s Head Formations.
It is the best known natural tourist attractions located in two Barangays of Magdalo and Quibal in Peñablanca, Cagayan Valley, Philippines. It is approximately 24 km northeast of Tuguegarao City, the Capital Town of Cagayan Province.
Before you reach the cave, you have to ride on a wooden boat in Pinacanauan River and you'd enjoy the scenery of rocky cliffs, forest mountains, and the river banks. If you wanna, go for it because the river is so clean and greenish water.
*Thanks to the beautiful Ms. Elaysa for the great tour I have had in visiting Callao Cave. Actually, I just asked her to repeat those that she said during the tour. I am sorry I have just a few shots inside the cave because my camera's battery ran out so fast.
I will be showing some photos hereunder but these pictures were just taken along the way.
The main attraction here is the Cave which was described/explained by the young tourist guide on the video.
Get on a boat at Pinacanauan River then Climb up to the 184-step concrete stairs leading to the entrance of the cave. Be amazed to explore more chambers and cave formations. Enjoy!
