The Protector

I would to share with you a speech I delivered in one of our church service wherein I have discussed the work of the Holy Spirit living among us in this technological era. 

Who, what, why and how the Holy Spirit could be with us? 

Living to the reality, not merely by readings, of knowing that Holy Spirit exists in midst of each one of us. As I think deeper, I just think of one thing, a glass with a cover (as shown by the photo, an actual mug which was a gift to me by my church group mates)! Perhaps you may think, what have to do with this small  glass or a mug? 

Widen up your imagination? Make this glass as big or as tall as your height? Now, it could be big as a Container already that can fit in numerous things. It can even contain you... just like a container ban inside a camp in the middle east country wherein these container bans are being used as home of overseas workers. So, it is not just a simple glass anymore. So, it is a container ban with a door...

Whatever? Look! This glass or a mug has two parts. The glass itself and its cover. But don’t you know that this mug or glass represents four (4) persons to me.

Four? Hold-on! I’ll tell you… you remember there are three (3) persons in One God? We called them the "Holy Trinity". But why is it that I am talking of four (4) persons instead of three (3)? Am I misleading you? Am I representing another religion or sect? 

No! the fourth person is you, me, or  us. Why? Are we god? No! just want you to be part of them :) I just want YOU to be involved!  It is just 그냥! 

Now, look again as I am just holding two (2) separate parts of the glass or mug? How it represents a four persons then ?

Well, this glass itself, for me, represents the Father or the Kingdom of Almighty. Where is the Son? Is it the Cover? No!!! The Son, Jesus, is Outside of the Glass! What does he doing outside the glass? He is looking on you, searching you, finding you... He want to let you know that through His love, we are forgiven. Don't hide because He want you to feel His Love together with the Father. He wants you to be with the Father. That’s why? Jesus wants to bring you together inside that Glass.

Now that he found you... Together with Jesus, you will then join Him inside the Glass. Inside God's Kingdom... It means the Son has fulfilled his mission of bringing God’s Glory to you or to us.

So, where is the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit is this… the Cover. Since, you are covered inside this glass... you are now protected from outside forces or external unforeseen circumstances. These outside forces could be the doings of evils such as temptations, troubles and problems likewise, worldly happiness, wealth,   power, etc. The Holy Spirit which this cover represents will give us the gift of privacy as well! That you and God alone could talk together one on one, in prayer, that no one could ever understand except between God and you alone. You are covered from any distractions. 

The Holy Spirit feeds, cares, serves and protects you. We, the believers who accepted Jesus Christ in our mind, heart & soul are securely covered. The Holy Spirit who is our defense councilor against the world that falsely accused us. The Holy Spirit that knows and teaches all things and everything. The Holy Spirit protects us against our sinful nature. 

Let's try to pause a moment and think again... Don’t you really feel that we are fully loved! Look of this glass again. We are contained inside where the Kingdom of God represents by this glass. We are with Jesus inside! Then, the father is carrying us… hugging us as it contain us. And finally, the Holy Spirit is guarding us. What else and who else, are we gonna ask for… ? are we gonna need more? We are so lucky, luckier and luckiest… because we are One with God! 

Now, the question is, since we are Safe to the fullest! Do we want to pull-out the cover and go strange or go out alone again? Walking like a stranger without directions or goals. Do we want to leave Jesus’ Love inside the Glass? Do we want to feel the danger because we rejected the security that the Holy Spirit has offered to us? Do we want to enjoy whatever the world could uncertainly give us rather than feel the comfort inside the Home that the Father has prepared for us? 

Dear friends, are we ready to repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins in order for us to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Are you ready to experience the real love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control which are the fruits of the Holy Spirit that could bring us? 

The answer, is depends on you, on me, on us.
