This Procedure is applicable to all electrical item installation activities at site, which are to be installed on the [PROJECT TITLE & LOCATION].To ensure that all electrical installation is carried out safely, and in accordance with good working practice, as per [PROJECT TITLE & LOCATION], job specifications. This procedure is intended to provide general application guidance and establish controls during preparation and installation.

Aircraft Warning Light Installation

1. For high elevation installation, ensure adequate scaffold ladders and access ways are available at work location.

2. Handle it with care all aircraft warning light devices and accessories to avoid damage.

3. Installation of aircraft warning lights shall be on the top platform of equipment and should be done while still on the ground level.

4. For installation of conduit and fittings, refer to the installation activities of Conduit Installation in Sec. 5.4 of this construction procedure

5. Fabricate and install braces and supports as specified on IFC drawings and specifications. Support weld joints should be cleaned and properly primed as per requirements and standards, ensuring adequate bearing surface to maintain rigidity. Welding should be in accordance with approved procedures utilizing qualified welders.

6. Conduit installation must be completely installed and free of construction debris prior to wires or cable pulling. Inspection of conduit installation should be in accordance with ITP.






7. After conduit installation and inspection, pull cables or wires up to the aircraft warning light device, as per cable schedule.

8. Cable continuity and megger testing is a must prior to termination.

9. After installation had been made, submit a Request for Inspection (RFI) to site Quality Inspector section, indicating scheduled time and date for inspection.

10. After all the inspections have been completed and found to be acceptable, and after he platform has been installed on top of vessel, a temporary supply from a generator will be connected to the nearest junction box to energize the aircraft warning lights.

11. If permanent installation of aircraft warning light cannot be completed prior to erection of equipment / platform, a temporary installation shall be executed.

12. Approval to energize permanent power for aircraft warning light must be obtained from OWNER prior to energization.
